Where are my photos saved?

Every photo you capture is saved directly to your device's Photos app, inside a dedicated "Paignion" album. You can find, edit, or share them from the system Photos app.

What's free, and what needs Full Unlock?

Paignion is free to download and shoot with — the Game Boy palette and Mosaic pattern (and the Bayer dither toggle, which is never gated) are available with no purchase. Full Unlock is a one-time purchase that opens the other four palettes (NES, PICO-8, C64, CGA), the Dot Screen and Halftone patterns, and the Screen FX overlays (CRT scanline, LCD bezel grid).

Is Full Unlock a subscription?

No — Full Unlock is a single one-time purchase ($3.99). There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Settings in the App and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

How does zoom work?

Pinch on the viewfinder to zoom smoothly from 0.5× to 5× (relative to the main wide lens) — the current multiplier appears on screen while you pinch.

Does Paignion support Camera Control (the physical button on iPhone 16 and later)?

Not in this version — every control is on-screen touch (tap to focus, pinch to zoom, tap Adjust for palette/pattern/dither/Screen FX), so the app works identically across all supported devices.

Why can't I see all the palettes/patterns?

The free tier includes the Game Boy palette and Mosaic pattern only. Unlocking Full Unlock reveals the remaining palettes (NES, PICO-8, C64, CGA), the Dot Screen and Halftone patterns, and the Screen FX section.

Does Paignion capture video?

No — Paignion is a photo-only camera by design. Video capture is out of scope.

What format are photos saved in?

Photos save as HEIC.

Will my photos be deleted if I delete the app?

No. Your photos live in your device's Photos Library, entirely independent of the App. Uninstalling Paignion has no effect on photos you've already saved.
